As men we often think of ourselves as totally indestructible. We can eat what we want, lounge around all day and it will have no affect on or health. We often wonder why women kill themselves over makeup, fitness and staying groomed to perfection… but actually they have a point.

Aerobic Exercise

As a man you may want nothing more than to show off how much weight you can carry, but it is not the only way to get a great figures and stay sculpted. In fact, aerobic exercise is one of the best ways to stay healthy and shred the weight.


For some reason a lot of people seem to think that yoga is a sport just for women, but this couldn’t be more wrong. The purpose of yoga is to find strength within yourself and build muscle while also reducing stress.

It could be a brilliant stress buster for you if you have a job which requires a large amount of work and stress on a day to day basis. It could be a great way to build your muscles, improve flexibility as well as clear the mind.


One of the most simple concepts to grasp of you want to live a healthy lifestyle is that everything comes in moderation. You can have a cheat day every now and again as long as you don’t make that cheat day into a once a week affair.

If you like to enjoy a few pints at the end of the week that’s fine, just try not to make it into a problem which requires men’s sober living. As long as you know where to draw the line, everything is acceptable.

Healthy Eating

After all that moderation talk it only seems fitting to move onto healthy eating. Now, we know that a grown man cannot and will not survive off a salad every day, and we don’t expect that of you.

However, having a takeaway every weekend isn’t going to help you fit into your swimming trunks this year, is it? The main goal of healthy eating is feeling satisfied with healthier food. It means lots of meat, eggs, vegetables and leafy greens. Avoid processed foods as much as you can apart from the occasional treat.


One of the main things women do which many of us neglect is regular grooming. You don’t have to go out and eat your nails done every month, but looking after your appearance can do wonders for your confidence and the health of your skin. Having regular trims and getting your skin cleaned is something which will give you a whole new lease of life.

Even undertaking the odd face mask can do wonders for your skin. It might not look manly, but it will reduce stress and give you great looking skin at the same time!
